Hi, my name is Miranda Yeakel. I'm a freshmen and my major is Pre-k to 4/special education. So far I love BU! I am from Quakertown, PA. I am the youngest in my family, I have two older brothers and a sister-in-law. My oldest brother is Jonathan, he is 27 and is married to Kiersten, someone who has grown to be a big sister to me. They live in Bethlehem and both have their careers going strong. They both went to Temple University together and got married summer of 2015. My other brother is Sean (age 24), he lives in Delaware and graduated from PSU. He lives alone but has a great job in his field. He is the funniest guy I know. I got blessed with my lovely parents who would do anything for me. They are sweet and loving and I cherish them very much. The rest of my family is totally awesome. Everyone is so close and we are always laughing when we are together. I love spending time with my family and they are so important to me. As for me, I danced for whole my life and I continue to take classes at BU. I cheered for 13 years of my life as well and loved every second of it. Also, I am involved in the Big Brother Big Sister's program in the community. I have a little named, Isabell, she's in 3rd grade and loves "My Little Pony." My favorite color is purple. I'm heavily involved in my church back home. I helped teach Sunday school students for 5 years. I now help with the youth group since I have graduated high school. I go to events whenever I am home and hang out with my church friends. For the past 5 summers I have gone on church mission trips. My church and 2 other churches go together to Camden, New York and help repair homes to make them warm, safe and dry. I love doing that and I love sharing a week with my good friends. Over the summer time I try to go to beach to relax and catch some rays. In addition to that, my family and I go to Knoebels for a long weekend to camp and go to the park. It is such a great weekend filled yummy food, smiles, laughter, games, etc. I love sitting around the campfire and toasting s'mores. I love the thought of exploring the world and one day actually do that. My dream job is to teach overseas for not so privileged kids. Within that I would want to travel to different low income places around the world.I love hanging out with my high school friends, dance friends, and church friends as well! So that's a little about me, here are some pictures that sum me up!
